PRAGMATICS
1.      When is an act explicit and non-explicit?
An act is explicit when it contains a performative verb that is being performed. For example:  I promise to come to your talk tomorrow afternoon. While an act is implicit there is no performative verb that is being performed, for example: I’ll come to your talk tomorrow afternoon

2.      When is an act direct and indirect?
An act is direct when an act is performed directly, for example I want to drink an ice tea. While an act is indirect when it is performed indirectly, it is performed by way of performing some other one directly, for example I am getting thirsty

3.      When do we describe illocutionary act as expressed or implied and literal or non-literal?
Illusionary act is expressed when it shows what the speaker think or how the speaker feel using word or action, for example: these painting express the terror of war. While illusionary act is implied when it suggests or says something without saying it directly, for example: Are you implying that I am fat?
4.   Illocutionary act is literal when we are using our words as what we mean, for example: I like eating banana and it is non-literal when we do not mean what our words mean but something else instead, for example: My mind got derailed
